It is always exciting to discover a new, artisan winery in the heart of the Russian River Valley.
Arista Winery is the definition of the family-size, quality-oriented Californian winery.
The production is currently 2000 cases, which is divided among numerous small lots of pinot noirs,
gewurztraminer, and zinfandels. The style of winemaking is individual too, with an emphasis toward elegant aromas, a fresher palate, and lower alcohol. They are food-friendly wines.
The charm of the winery is emphasized by its Japanese garden that offers a fabulous view of the Russian River Valley, as well as by the friendliness of the staff and the owners.

- Zinfandel, Russian River Valley: Vibrant fruit and a bright acidity are the best descriptors for this Zin. It is definitely an effort to part ways with the overblown, over-extracted Californian Zinfandel. If you want to drink your Zinfandel with a meal, this wine is for you.
