Preston Winery
|
|
Preston Winery was founded in 1981 by Lou Preston. The Preston family has grown grapes in the Dry Creek Valley for decades.
They have a real appreciation for the land and respect for traditions. In fact, the vineyards were certified organic in 2005.
Lou decided early to focus on Rhone varietal wines. The extensive vineyards consist of 125 acres, and two-thirds of the grapes are sold to other wineries. Lou is also famous for his homemade bread that you
can buy at the winery too. |

Wines Offered: An interesting selection of Italian and Rhone varietals.
Marc's selection:
- Barbera: This traditional grape from northeast Italy is at home in the Dry Creek Valley. The hue has a deep ruby color with a narrow purple rim. This wine has an intense nose of blackberry and vanilla. The palate is full bodied, with soft tannins and a medium length finish. This is a really fun and easy-to-drink wine.
